About KEA Pest Control Connecticut's Locally Owned, Licensed Pest & Wildlife Control Team
KEA Pest Control LLC was founded on July 11, 2011, but our roots in this industry go back further than that. Our owner has worked in pest control since 2003 — meaning every inspection, treatment plan, and exclusion job we take on is backed by more than two decades of hands-on field experience, not just a business that opened its doors and started selling services.
We started KEA Pest Control with a simple idea: pest problems aren't one-size-fits-all, and neither should the solutions be. A carpenter ant problem in a Simsbury farmhouse calls for something different than a bed bug issue in a Manchester apartment, and a rodent exclusion job on a Windsor Locks property isn't handled the same way as a wildlife conflict in Barkhamsted. That's the approach we still bring to every property today — inspect first, identify the actual problem, then build a plan around it.
Licensed and Credentialed in Connecticut
Pest control affects the safety of your home, your family, and your local environment, which is exactly why the State of Connecticut requires specific licensing for this work. KEA Pest Control holds:
- General Pest Control License — covering the full range of household and commercial pest issues, from ants and spiders to bed bugs and stinging insects
- Rodent Control License — for the specialized inspection, exclusion, and treatment work that mice and rat infestations require
- Nuisance Wildlife Control License — allowing us to legally and humanely handle conflicts with wildlife like raccoons, squirrels, and other animals that can get into attics, chimneys, and crawl spaces
Each of these licenses requires meeting the state's training and testing standards — they're not optional paperwork, but a real signal that the technician showing up at your property is qualified to handle what they're being asked to handle.
Our Approach: Integrated Pest Management
Rather than reaching for the strongest chemical available, we follow an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach — inspection, exclusion, and targeted treatment working together, with an emphasis on solving the reason pests got in rather than just addressing what's visible today. We favor eco-conscious, low-toxicity products whenever they'll do the job, which matters to the many Connecticut households we work with that have kids, pets, or family members with chemical sensitivities.
What We Handle
We provide inspection-driven treatment for the pest and wildlife issues Connecticut homes and businesses actually deal with, including:
- Ants, spiders, and general household pests
- Mice and rats, including exclusion and long-term prevention
- Wasps, yellow jackets, and carpenter bees
- Bed bugs and fleas
- Nuisance wildlife conflicts
For details on how we handle each of these, visit our dedicated Ant Control, Rodent Control, Wasp & Bee Control, and Bed Bug & Flea Treatment pages.

Why Connecticut Homeowners Choose Us
When you call KEA Pest Control, you're not reaching a call center or a national franchise — you're reaching a locally owned, state-licensed team with two decades of real field experience in Connecticut's specific pest and wildlife pressures. That's the difference between a technician following a script and one who's actually seen the problem before.
