The yellow sac spider is one of the most common spiders found inside Connecticut homes—and one of the few species capable of biting humans. These spiders are active hunters and often seen roaming walls and ceilings at night.

Identification:

  • Size: ¼ inch
  • Color: Pale yellow to beige
  • Legs: Long and slender
  • Eyes: 8 arranged in two rows
  • Markings: Dark “sac” near the tip of the abdomen

Behavior & Habitat:
